Belfast Academy Coming in January

Due to the huge success of the Ireland Cricket Academy (formerly known as the Dublin Cricket Academy) has had over the last 3 years in Leinster, we are proud to announce that the Belfast Academy will be starting up in January 2013.

The Academy has had huge success over the last few years in providing quality coaching sessions to children of all abilities with ages ranging from 6-17year olds.  We have an experienced panel of coaches led by International players Albert van der Merwe, Reinhardt Strydom and Trent Johnston,  who deliver carefully planned sessions, working on a wide range of skill sets to better equip the learner.  We have created a fun and enjoyable  learning environment, supplying coaching of a high standard and making it possible for the children to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in Irish Cricket.

This has given cricketers from different abilities the opportunity to stay involved with cricket throughout the winter, thus making it accessable all year round.

The Belfast Academy will start on Saturday 19 January 2013 and all sessions will take place indoors at Wallace High School’s indoor facility.  The programme will run for 6 consecutive weeks till February 23rd  and will have two age categories.

Group 1: Age 6-11 (Boys and Girls) Time: 3-5pm

Group 2: Age 12-17 (Boys and Girls) Time: 5-7pm

Our selected programmes and team of coaches caters for the wide range of abilities.  The sessions will be based around skills to address technique and games for skill acquisition.
